On October 5th and 6th, the 14th session of the basic group for conservation of pearl mussel and thick shelled river mussel (Unio crassus) in the Czech-German boundary waters, took place. A professional seminar was part of the meeting, which dealt with the subject matter of our project. Together with the representatives of Czech, Bavarian and Saxon nature conservation organisations, both state run and non-governmental, we visited the project sites on Lužní stream, Bystřina and Rokytnice. We continued discussing measures to take also the following day during a session in Mariánské Lázně.
