Compost piles for the third (and last) time, and let’s go scything

The never-ending story of compost pile construction has come to an end. We have sewn a chic shade shelter and made sure they’re watered regularly so nothing should prevent grass from being transformed into a fragrant compost.

However, June is inseparably connected especially with the start of the scything season. Grass has again grown up to considerable height and density so we have no other choice but to take out scythes, brush cutters, rakes, hay forks, tarpaulins and get to work.
